ARFC 5th Anniversary Celebration

As we celebrate five years of grant making in China, ARFC cordially invites you to an overview of our HIV prevention strategy among gay men in China. The panel discussion will feature special guests from AIDS Project Los Angeles and an excerpt of a new documentary, "Tongzhi in Love," by Academy Award film maker, Ruby Yang.

At the following reception, we will screen a documentary short. Shot in five provinces of China, "The Scarf" conveys the dignity and the hopes of people living with HIV in China.

Field Notes – Journey to Kunming: Migrant Women and AIDS

Elsa Fan, ARFC's Grant Coordinator, visited a grantee in an urban ghetto of Kunming, Yunnan where she learned about the lives of migrant workers and sex workers. Read her trip report.

ARFC's Grantees Featured in the Global Health Council's Publication, AIDSLink

ARFC Program Director Humphrey Wou observes and writes about innovative grassroots AIDS work in China. The article mentions three programs, the Pen Pal club, Qianxi Women's Group and peer education at Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
